This job included the survey, quotation, supply and fitting of over ten Dock Leveller bumps that had seen better days.
With constant use, Dock Leveller bumps become worn and damaged which can cause damage to vehicles that reverse up to them and to building structures. This is especially problematic with health & safety along with downtime to business operations.
The process to remove the old bumps involved grounding down the old inefficient fixings and welding new backing plates onto the existing frame and leg uprights, complete with more substantial 30mm threaded rod and fixings. After a bit of new paintwork, the new buffer bumps were fitted and left in working order.
